A friend has been sharing the special activities she’s been doing with her family this holiday season and I’m so glad! We’ve been following her wonderful ideas and have jumped in, as able. This has been a tough round of bronchitis for those who struggle with asthma in our home and it’s nice to have stolen a few minutes to make a few things even though they aren’t ‘the best’ and we found them a bit more challenging than usual! I realized during this process that we have lost something worthwhile with the loss of hand craft time in the late afternoons when I’m teaching or the girls are at lessons. We could all use a bit of time reminding ourselves how to work carefully and patiently while using our own hands to create something worthwhile. We’ll have to take this up during long, snowy weekend afternoons this winter.
